SURRENDER A CAT
Please note:
We are a cat only rescue and have limited space. We open up surrenders as we have room and finances to do so. We almost always have a waiting list.

SBAR primarily takes in cats and kittens from kill shelters, but we do accept cats as we can from individuals that fall under certain guidelines:
You must be the LEGAL owner of the cat you are wanting to surrender.
We cannot take in feral or stray cats.
All found/stray cats must go through stray hold at animal control first to give the appropriate amount of time for a possible owner to claim the cat.
The cat or kitten must be up to date on vaccinations including rabies. For low cost options please visit this website Low Cost Vaccination Clinics.
The cat or kitten must be spayed or neutered if old enough (3 months or older). For low cost spay/neuter please visit Robinson’s Rescue.

The cat or kitten if old enough must be tested for FIV/Felv.

If the cat is not fully vetted we ask for a $75 rehoming fee to help cover partial costs of doing so.

Please fill out and submit the request to surrender a cat below. Unfortunately, we receive many more requests for help than we can honor. We can take in cats and kittens only as space and finances become available. We will review your request and let you know as soon as possible whether we are able to help at this time.
Please allow 24-48 hours to respond. We are all volunteers!
